Re: finally low
I think it looks great. I'm with the others drop the front more and get some lower profile front tires.

Re: finally low
I still say drop the front some more. I had the same issue when I lowered mine...it sat up in the front. I cut a half a coil off the front springs and it looks just right now.
Ur truck is a damn nice lookin' though! Last edited by nlped; 10-30-2009 at 04:19 PM. |

Re: finally low
Can't you do what the 4x4 guys do and put in a raised shackle or something like that in the rear to raise it an inch?

Re: finally low
little reference for you on the cut coils. the blue and grey longbed chevy has exactly 2 cut coils on the front. the red chevy has 1.5 cut coils on front. and the blazer has 2 cut coils on front. dont mean to hijack the thread just giving some ride height help...

Re: finally low
ill tell ya the blazer has 255/60/15 on front
blue truck has 245/50/15 red has 225/60/15 none of them rub except for the blazer. but only going in really steep driveways and it rubs on the middle of the inner fenderwell only, not the outer lip. middle fenderlip height to the ground is exactly 25 inches |

Re: finally low
I have a 255/70r15 which is 29" tall on a 15x8" Ralley with a 2.5" drop spindle, a 1" drop coil w/ 1/2 a coil cut off and it doesn't rub at all and sits perfect w/ the flip in the rear.

Both the blue truck and the blazer have two coils cut, but the blazer looks lower to me (top of the tire vs wheel opening). Any thoughts on that? K

Re: finally low
keith they are very very close in ride height. the coils on the blazer were cut when i bought it but i went in a took a little more off, 3/4 coil to be exact. so, im going to guess that if the blazer is indeed lower that it has 2 1/4-2.50 coils cut. Sorry when i had the blue truck i didnt take any measurements. hope this helps. also when i had the coil springs out of the blazer, they were about as long as your standard size bottle of water, so very very short!!!
