120watt amp stuffed in a 6" pvc tube with 2 90's on the ends with 6.5" speakers hooked to my mp3 it would blast..

I did the IPOD and amp thing too, it works fine. I just used a 20w amp and some generic 6x9s under the seat and it sounds pretty good. With some real equipment it would blast you out of the cab. RCA level line-in signals aren't very high power. That stereo guy was on crack.

Agreed, I used to do this with walkman cd players way back before Ipod days. For the guy that tried it on his friend's amp, you need to adjust the gain.

well, it was hard to tell exactly because I was used to hearing the truck with two 5 1/2s and two 12s, I know it didn't sound the same using just two 12s, but I could have been mistaken on how loud it was.

I don't want to run a deck unless I have to.

I have two Jensen power 200w 6x9's.............................

I want two 10's and an amp.

anybody got suggestions on what subs to buy and what amp??? and how to wire it???
