truck and to try to find the logic behind the front end treatment.
I can get behind the pro street look. I am not a hater. Even of rat rods....
(damn that was hard to type)
I think everyone should build to please himself....but... if this IS your build....DUDE you went horribly wrong on that frontend.

It looks like a " throw something on there... I'm running out of cash and need to ditch this money pit fast" type situation.

This truck would be an easy pro street sale if the front hadn't been hacked.

Your build thread is choice reading with some excellent work and ideas made real... but if this IS your truck... that frontend???---

Please dont do that to your 62.

What made you even think Scotts62 built this truck in the first place??? You seemed so sure in your post it was his build, when in fact it is not. In fact, I'm pretty sure his first post gave it away with the smilys of disapproval.

Maybe next time we think before we post.

Cool Re: Pro street 4-5-6 for sale in OKC

Ehhhhhhhhhh.......
The front end looks like something off Funkmaster Flex's Pimp My Ride!

I would rob parts off it and put it on my truck!
The good parts!
The roll cage tubing is to small for me.
This is more my taste!

Yeah, ok, well no offense, but maybe you might want to take that advice yourself.
You might think I was just trying to strike up a convo with Scott as I am interested in his build, and he asked where I was located. I am close enough I might get a chance to see his truck sometime.
So...
First you might want to re-read my post. I asked if Scott might have built this truck. Read the last line of my post. Obviously I recognize its not the SAME truck, but very similar. (except for the frontend fiasco)
Second if you are reading a post in the "1960-1966 Chevrolet and GMC Pickups Message Board" I would hope you would recognize the difference between a '62 and a '64-'65-'66 truck. I do. I own both.
Third I complemented (and still do) Scott on his build thread. Read the start of the next to last line of my post.

Dayumm....don't be so quick to harsh on me for no reason!!!!

Scott your build rocks! And I apologize for even insinuating you had anything to do with the truck this thread is about.

Unfortunately, this is the internet, where emotions cannot be effectively brodcasted and/or percieved correctly. It happens.
But, it seems that I wasn't the only one who read your post in this way.

That's an interesting way to strike up a convo IMO... with various possible insults. What if it was his build? That wouldn't have worked out so well.

I do ask that further discussion of this matter directed to forum staff be kept to PMs.

thank you.

Re: Pro street 4-5-6 for sale in OKC

ok ok Wow!!! I didn't mean to stir anything up. Quite the contrary. Mostly my lame-azz attempt to be funny.

I will confess, and apologize, to the builder of the truck this thread is about.
As I said in an earlier post " he thought that looked good". I should not have been so quick to bash what might be the fullfillment of his life long dream.

I remember my first build and when it was done I thought it was AWESOME. Others seemed to take a different view.

In the years I have been working on hot rods and custom trucks I didn't utilize this medium (the internet) to bounce ideas or gather opinions about my work. Taking photos was never my strong suit and when I started, the net wasn't the household word it is today.
One of the reasons I joined this forum, and several others, is to see what is being done out there. Maybe get some ideas, meet some people of like mind as me, and make some new friends.
I did not mean to start a pissing contest.

I did not mean to disrespect the Staff of this forum. (I can read, and realized who I was addressing when I posted)

And you are very correct in saying emotion is what you want to read into it when reading printed word.

That said.... simmer down?????? Hell I ain't even come to a boil yet.

I hope its all good And if I stepped on some toes... sorry man.

And to the builder of the truck in question.....if he is a member of this forum... contact me... I can help you make a few changes and maybe get that truck sold. (you should have seen the "pro street" I built several years ago with a 61 double hump hood converted into a double scoop ram air) Trying to find some pictures now. Course they will probably be polaroids.
