Re: Very nice Longhorn 4x4 on fleebay

He did tell me it had a newer Dana 44. So I don't know but the D44 can't be that new if it was done in the 70's. LOL

Re: Very nice Longhorn 4x4 on fleebay

Hmmm... I just bought a 72 super cheyenne 30 longhorn 4x4. It has a 402 big block sm465 205 transfer and a dana 44 frontend. front diff is def old school with big hubs. The truck is loaded with tach dash and ac. It looks to be factory, but now I am definetely wonderin??? So there is for sure no way this truck was ever built??? Oh by the way it has the passenger side tool box and factory optional fuel tank.

Welcome to the board and congrats on the purchase of what sounds like a very cool truck. As for it being factory, sorry but it is definitely not a factory built truck...but that doesn't matter to a lot of us. Now how about some pics of this Beast!

there were no 4x4 longhorns from the factory. though there were companys that did a conversion right from the factory i hear. too bad the factory didnt do it cuz that is the perfect truck imho. id like to see some photos of your truck! sounds nice.

Re: Very nice Longhorn 4x4 on fleebay

Very Nice!

It seem that whenever I see a Big Block in a 4x4 the truck is lifted. Is there a fit problem with the front differential or something at stock height? Awesome setup with the 454 crate and OD. How did I miss it?

Re: Very nice Longhorn 4x4 on fleebay

Let's see some pics! As far as a big blocks in 4wds, I think there would be room with stock heigth chassis, but maybe not with a large truck oil pan.
