Re: Gen III/4L60E in an AD?

If you want Drive By Wire. Make sure the engine harness is a DBW harness. You will have to modify a Drive By Cable harness for DBW. Also, get the DBW pedal,T.A.C. module and the short harness that connects the DBW pedal and T.A.C. module.

I'm a member on LS1Tech also. There's a lot of info on the LS engines on the site. Check it out.

Re: Gen III/4L60E in an AD?

I spent a lot of time reading on ls1truck.com before I bought my motor and trans I guess your choices all depend on how you like to drive I went with the drive by wire , if you do make sure you get the pedal assy, the Throttle Actuater Module and the wiring harness that match the ecm as they have different plugs for different years and wont work if you get the wrong ones. it is easier to use an aftermarket engine harness but more money! I used the factory one but had to change some wires for the 4l80 and there are quite a few extra wires and plugs to get rid of.
