Lets see some more pics... some of us still need ideas/help.

Does anyone have any design spec for a box that would hold 10" subs that need .75cuft each and have a mounting depth of 6in. ?

Oh yeah plus I want the seat all the way back! Not a easy project, but I know someone has doen it....right?

Thanks.

Here is mine, amp in middle not mounted yet,

(there is 17" wide space between for a amp.)

and the front amp will be mounted to the back of the center console.

I plan to switch out the 8" for 10's if I think it needs it later on...

there is a difference between getting a back massage (techno-bass crap, where you get blury eyed) and real music bass (hearing detailed quality beats on real drums)

I guess it all depends if, you want to hear the music,

or want other people to hear it, I always said I didn't give out free tunes.
Just my .02 cents

When I had (2) 10's in boxes almost just like those, my seat would go all the way back without a problem.

But w/ the 12's its up a notch or two. A little trick I have is to put the seat back then put the boxes in, it gives you just a little more space. Because if you put the boxes in then push the seat back it may not lock into the farthest back position. But if you lock it back first then put the boxes in, you can usually get an extra notch back out of it. Just something to try, it works for me.

What would be the right dimensions for a box that will allow you to have 2 10" subs and your seat all the way back?

I was guessing you could go 7" deep on the bottom and maybe 4" deep towards the top.... does that sound right or does anyone know for sure?

Thanks for the help so far...

Gibble-- yes, the seat goes all the way back.

the MTX box is : 7-1/2" at bottom and 4" at top.

it has a little room left bottom and top, I am going to have to modify my seat- tilt- levers though, its hitting my 6x9 grills.

Timspeed-- did you put you 10's in yet or still in process.

And whats the story behing the, Weiner Man! avatar,
this has to be good!!

I have a box made out of HDF, which is incredibly strong, but also heavy. I have 2 10" dual voice coil Image Dynamics subs mounted in it with honeycomb grilles protecting them. They are mounted side-by-side behind the driver and middle part of the seat. On the end behind the passenger is a place for two Xtant amps mounted vertically. They have built-in temp controls and cooling, so no prob there.
This was in my '84 2WD P/U and rocked! It's for sale, but someone would have to come pick it up as it would cost a lot to ship. I think I even have the amps lying around somewhere. They have polished stainless covers and were top of the line.

NV,
No, my interior hasn't even begun to get started. I'm going to completely redo it all, and then switch to 2 10's (one behind driver and one behind the passenger, with an amp in the center) I'm going to put down dynamat, and make sure NOTHING rattles! I had a question on those 6x9's...I'm wanting to do a mounting like that aswell, but I wanna set them on TOP of the sub boxes, so the speakers fire directly at ear level. What I'm asking is, doesn't the sound from the 6x9's get muffled, because it's behind the seat like that?
Naw, there's no real story behind the avatar, I just thought it'd be funny to put the little weiner man up there...Weiner Man! is there cuz that's his name

Chevy_Forever:
Look at this picture and check your PM.

EDIT:
With a 6" deep speaker, you might have some trouble getting it into a box that will fit behind your seat (w/ the seat all the way back). My 12's have a mounting depth of roughly 5-5/16" and they barely fit into this box. These boxes have a cup in the back wall which adds an extra 1/4 to 1/2" of depth.
Here are the dimensions of the boxes for my 12's as you can see your 10's will probly need a larger box due to the depth.
I can check everything in my cad program once you give me the dimensions.

No - they were built on angle to fire upwards and out
(only 1-1-2 " is covered by the seat )

- they are 2-3/4" from the seat back so they also fire up the back of the seat. Dyno mat or equal material mounted on the back of the seat about 12" wide -would force sound up the seat back as well, instead of absorbing it.
