How long was your trip??
and how are you planning your drop..I noticed no pics of LCA

where in mass are you?? we don't have any good powder coaters up here that can take a part that big..and I'm sure your not that far from me and It might be an option for my next build
Thanks for the compliments! The trip was just over 2500 miles and took me 3 days. I drove some long days! It was a blast! Your welcome to the carpet if you need it! I live in the Worcester area. The powder coater I used was in Quincy Ma. He was the only one that could take the long bed frame. He has a 40 ft. oven! For the smaller parts I have another guy who does nice work reasonably. For the drop I am going 4.5 front with 2" springs and 2.5 spindles from Cpp and the factory LCA. The rear is 5" with springs and the Cpp trailing arms and crossmember, shocks etc. I also will be upgrading to disk front brakes and a quick ratio steering box.

Thanks! The wire is for the speakers in the doors. It was done prior to my ownership, but was done very nicely so I decided to keep them.

That's the picture of the engine I built for my first 67. I pulled it and the tranny and sold the other truck. 355 roller motor, forged crank rods, pistons etc. GM alumn. heads, 10.5-1 comp. rpm air gap, Quick fuel 750 dp, etc.
Tremec TKO 600 trans. Thats now the drivetrain for this truck.

Those were for the truck I sold which wasn't lowered. They fit poorly so I sent them back and bought a set of Dougs.

Re: 67 cst

Made some progress in the last couple of days. stripped the seam sealer off all the joints on the cab. A real pain in the a@#, but well worth it to keep the truck nice for years to come.

Re: 67 cst

I also used a da to prep the bare metal and interior for primer. I cut out the trans tunnel and drilled the holes to install the high hump needed for the tremec 5spd.

Re: 67 cst

Friday we moved the cab into the booth and seam sealed the floors and rockers with metal 2 metal seam sealer/ panel adhesive. Much stronger than seam sealer and it's sandable. They use this stuff bond quarters on alot of the new cars etc. without welding. Today he sprayed the floors and firewall with dp-90 epoxy primer. After a quick bake he layed down some color base coat and then clear. Tomorrow we will tape the floors and fire wall and then prime the rest of the cab and start on the body work. Hopefully it won't take too long! I have to give thanks to my great friend Wayne for his help, time, killer body work skills and use of his shop to complete this part of the project. If any of you are in the area and want nothing but the best, PM me and I will put you in contact with him. I will update when I have some more to share.
