Re: Just bought a one ton.
Man!!! I'm off the computer one day and you guys (and Lady) load me up with replies.
First let me say thanks for all the compliments. I am very pleased with it. Yeah, there are a few things I want to do to personalize it. I don't do body work, painting or welding, so building my own is out. But I do maintain it. I can also make minor repairs and upgrades, (different gauges, speakers, maybe c30 emblems on the fenders. Now for the questions- I didn't buy it from a member but it could have belonged to one at one time. I finally got to drive it today. Easy around town, and solid on the highway. Winds up tight pretty quick though. May want to look at gear vendors od or a 5 speed later. It was on ebay so you may have seen some pictures of it there. Mike did a great job hauling it. No issues whatsoever, kept me posted on his whereabouts on the way. If you need one moved, he is the man to move it. Thank YOU, Mike. Hope you got the internet up. Ha Ha. I'll be taking more pictures in a few days and post them for you. I'll also have some questions along the way I'm sure. Now, about this "One Ton" club. I'd like to be a member, but don't ask me to do anything! LOL Again, thanks for all the coments and if you have any questions, give me a holler. |

Re: Just bought a one ton.
That truck is going to be a "ton" of fun. By the way that is what trucks are all about.

Re: Just bought a one ton.
It is the sellers shop. Don't have pictures at home yet. Mike said the guy had 3 buildings, all full of muscle.
Will try to get more pictures this weekend. Took some inside my shop but they were too dark. Last edited by chevy72pu; 11-26-2009 at 09:13 AM. |

Re: Just bought a one ton.
Something you might look into before considering trans work is to look at the diff ratio. I have seen some of those be pretty tall.

Re: Just bought a one ton.
That's what caught my eye first.
Careful man, that can get you in more trouble. Quote:
Yep! I hope to find out more about the build. That's what I figure it is. Hope to get under it soon and look at the numbers on the diff. Will that till me the ratio? Last edited by chevy72pu; 11-27-2009 at 09:18 AM. |
