Good to hear, mine's a daily driver and it'll be in the rain just as much as it'll be in the sun. That color should look good on that truck.

Re: CeeTen's build

Got the cab almost naked, still gotta pull the brake hardware and the ac box. Gonna wait for the weather to get better so I can roll it outside to keep from spilling antifreeze all over my shop. Check out those rust free floors! The darker blue is some urethane I brushed on several years ago because the factory paint was peeling. Also got a pic of the ac controls. The bezel hides the LED's and the white letters really stand out.

Re: CeeTen's build

I just drilled some holes in the edge of the housing and epoxied them in. Not sure yet if I will end up using them. Just depends on how they look once installed. I want the letters to glow blue without the glare.

Re: CeeTen's build

Worked on the tailgate today. Still have a little welding to do. Used a Mar-K 1/2 skin and handle flip. Very nice products, fit well and sturdy.

Re: CeeTen's build

Looks good. Is the extra thickness noticeable? Glad to see more positive feedback for our site vendors.

Re: CeeTen's build

Thanks! Yes, it's a good bit thicker. I'm gonna have to move the hinges in a tad to make it line up. Should be no problem.

Looks great.

You don't happen to remember what the application was for your LT1 radiator hoses was by chance, do you?

No, I had them wrote down but don't know what happened to them. I bent some wire into the shape I needed then went to the local Napa They let me go in the back and plunder until I found some that were close.

Re: CeeTen's build

Funny that you did that. My cousin did that with his Camaro. The guys behind the counter were like you want to do what? No we have a computer here that wil tell you what you need. Sometimes they just don't get it.

Re: CeeTen's build

Tell me about it. Napa is pretty good but at the Advance Auto parts....Like when you want say a set of centerbolt valve cover gaskets. Them- What year? Me-Don't matter. Them-1/2 ton or 3/4. Me-Don't matter. Them-2wd or 4wd, Me-Don't matter. Them-Auto or manual, Me-Don't matter. LOL. Now I usually just order on the internet and pick up at the store.

Oh yea, Moved the hinges in today as far as I could, still need to move in a little more. I will have to get a rotary file and slot the holes a little bit.

Have you got any new updates for us? I love the build. How did the hinge adjustment turn out?

Re: CeeTen's build

Got busy again this afternoon, started stripping paint. It's been painted 3 times so I'm going down to metal. Hope to have the bed in epoxy and bodywork done this weekend, if it's warm enough to spray. I'll get some updated pics.

Re: CeeTen's build

Didn't get to spray primer today, finished stripping paint and started working on the tailgate gaps. Got to punch some marks so I can get it in the same spot after paint to keep from messing it up.

Got it pretty close but will still need a little filler to make it perfect.
