Re: My new 72

Wasnt trying to post as a for sale but prob will end up needing to to fix the truck the way i want. took care of my dues and glad to be a site supporter. ill take advantage of the for sale forum to do that but was just posting pics of what work i will have to do to the parts to make them right. whats sad is someone spent some money on these parts and let them sit there. maybe i got to it just in time.

Hey man. No one was accusing you of trying to post your stuff up for sale. You were just showing what you have. Its all good man.

Glad to hear you are a site supporter now. It really is well worth the $25 and you won't regret it.

I think you did get to it just in time. It's sad that these trucks often sit until they fall apart.

Thanks for saving one man!

Hey man, I wasn't trying to say you selling anything I was just trying to point that you could. By the way the first thing I thought when I read the post was you don't mess around, I couldn't believe how quick you tore it down good work.

Re: My new 72

hahaha. you should see my tools. i got a small craftsman 30 pc set and went to town with a 9/16 and 1/2 inch socket. i had to dip the ratchet in water to keep it from over heating.

Re: My new 72

Good buy on the truck, it was a nice find. One question a bit off topic, I noticed you used a tow bar, looks like you removed the driveshaft before using it. How did it go towing one of these with a tow bar? How far did you tow it? What did you use as the tow vehicle? I'm looking at picking a project truck nearby here and was thinking of using the bar to tow it.

Re: My new 72

Dcc it didnt have a drive shaft and they guy i bought it from had the tow bar already attatched to the frame where the radiator supports main bolts are. it wasnt that bad. the truck i found wasnt but about 3 miles from my house. i did have to get on a 4 lane highway but for only about a mile. it did good. i wouldnt want to travel long distances. if i started out slow and had to turn the wheels tended to turn the wrong way or stay turned and id have to stop and turn the steering wheel, since my wife was unwilling to do her duty and sit in the truck with no seat and lizzards crawling around, but i couldnt blame her.
