Re: You'll remember The Fall guy?
Yo! I was thinking about those '90s Hondas and their future value that you mention, pig rig,...will they survive 40 or 50 years? If stored properly, maybe. But the old machinery had heavy steel that would stand up to weather and even impacts.
A young lady on her cell totalled her Saturn on the rear bumper and rear valance of my '76 Camaro over a year ago. Her's bled engine oil all over the ground and the entire front clip was destroyed,...I haven't bothered to do anything with mine quite yet 'cause ya can hardly tell,...didn't even scratch the chrome! Damaged my rear valance just below the bumper a bit, passenger side. Insurance company gave me $800 to cash-out. Guess we'll see how the newer cars and trucks age. And with "cash for clunkers" the available stuff is being depleted,...will that continue? Probably. Todd.

Re: You'll remember The Fall guy?
Yes, that was a great show; i think that the 73-87 gm pickup IS the most photogenic truck in history as far as appearing in movies and television; If you add up all the movies and tv shows this series of truck has been in, i don't think any other brand/series of truck comes close.
a) So, is Lee Majors the most popular celebrity to be associated with these trucks. And therefore, possibly, the official/unofficial figurehead? i think there was even an interview where he discussed this truck in particular. i can't find it---you'll have to search for it. b) i think there was even an episode of charlies angels where farrah drove a shortbed. i'm only mentioning this because, as you may know, they were a couple at one time. c) My only criticism with the fall guy is, Universal studios, ABC(or whoever made the series) with all their money had several trucks with different front ends---some had quad headlights, some had the 80 single headlights. This is a continuity error. i'm sure alot of people, including myself, picked up on this. This lessens the quality and credibility of the studio and of the show itself. |
