Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
Still waiting on pics but the 67-72 door panels WITHOUT door pulls are $219, with the pulls they are $244. (shipping not included) I am going to list them with door pulls in the catalog as I and he HIGHLY recommend them.

My Trucks in the shop NOW, and I wanted to look at the product he has left, but without pictures, it's just a waste of time. He wants me to call, him, but that still wont answer my questions as to WHAT they look like. I need door panels within 10-14 Days, and can't just order them "Blindly". I've heard so much about these Panels. I have one member here, trying to dig up some pictures, but hasn't sent them yet, but that STILL wont tell me what Blaine's got left in stock. I try to give my Money to Vendors here that support the Forums and what other Members recommend, but after 2 years, my Interior is getting painted and I need info now, (not in the Future). I've contacted another company that does aftermarket Door Panels for our 67-72 C-10's/GMC's. So I'm waiting on them to see what they have,

So does anyone know if the Rod Panel;s come with the holes for Window/Door and Mounting, come already punched (or at least scribed)? I just need a plain set so I can have my Upholstry shop here, match up the new Panels, Visors and Dash Pad.

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
there is no mark for the window crank or switches, and its mounts up with Velcro like mounting pieces, and the panels do require a little trimming to fit correctly

Also, those that have used it (and Velcro), how do you like the way your Panels adhere? Would you say it's better than using Srews? I'd like to hear your opinions.

So it's GM's Version of Velcro, or is there something SUPERIOR to this, more than Velcro?

The screws look right at home, 4 are exposed and 2 are under the carpeted panel. I've since added the included door pulls to the arm rests. The pulls also secure the arm rest to the door.

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
Captkaos roddoors wouldnt be able to make a set that would accept the door panel style clips that the newer chevy trucks use. Wish i had a picture to show what i am talking about but it is just the standard push style clip that most newer cars use.

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
yes thats what i am talking about but there would have to be a hole on the backside of the door panel for them to lay in, Then the clip would grab the metal on the door. And so are you saying these panels arent flush that they have gaps or what exactly do you meen by set off the door?

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
Bryan's (S10Fan) response is spot on. And by Gap he means offset off the door.
Dreamer, Rod Doors doesn't have a catalog, technically they are out of business. I have all their products on my web catalog (the RD- PN's): 73-87 http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/me...y_Code=7387INT http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/me...tegory_Code=DP 67-72 (no pics, still waiting on pics of what the customer is getting) http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/me...y_Code=6772INT

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
I can't brag enough about Rod Doors products. Many of my friends over the years have used RD panels on street rods and other customs. My door panels get a ton of compliments and folks are amazed I covered them myself. The quality is top notch. Yes, you will need to "fit" the panels to your doors but the ABS plastic is very forgiving and once you cover them folks will think GM did it. Another neat thing about the ABS construction.....If you decide later to change interior colors or material, simply remove the material and glue on something else.
Rod Doors like a lot of other smaller companies weren't able to survive this dreadful economy we're currently living in. Fortunately for us many of their products are still available in limited quantities. I purchased my panels through board member/vendor Captkaos. I've considered buying another set just to have them for the next truck.

Re: Rod Doors Products back in the catalog!
All of the products are available, he just has to make them as they are ordered. I have convinced him to keep making them, it's just him again now and not a factory. Same as it was when he started pretty much. He pretty much keeps a set of the 73-87 stuff on standby.
