Re: Kick Panels

I wonder if you could run a fresh air hose from the rad support up thru the drivers fender, over the wheel well, and connect it behind the wheel well to the cowl?
My dog house is off right now so I can't picture it in my mind, but the cowl is hollow below the hood lines and down the drivers side, and you should be able to fashion some kind of connector that is out of sight, or barely seen.

3. $75.00 a pair non covered with out black plastic vents (these come in black with a paint able texture finish.)
All of my kick panels are made from black textured ABS Plastic and you can also dye the vinyl covered ones to match your existing interior colors.
i offer a black plastic rectangle vent with #1 and #2 above. but some guys like using their own style vents like two round Billet aluminum vents or any other style vents that will fit.
these Kick panels can also be used with most aftermarket a/c systems. and come with a round speaker pod for speaker only or with a tear drop shape speaker pod for speaker and tweeter mounted side by side.
And for my Smooth Cowls they are hand laid fiberglass "made to order" and i have been selling them to members of the forum for $225.00 ea.+ shipping. (Reg price is $250.00)
I have three different styles
1. Blank with wiper holes only
2. Blank with wiper holes and antenna hole
3. Completely Blank with no holes at all. (must remove wiper shafts in order to use this style)
Sorry for the long letter i hope all this makes sense to you because i am not very good on a computer. Thanks for you interest in my parts and please feel free to ask any questions if i missed something.
Where have you been, all my life!?

That was my thought too, I've considered doing it before but haven't really looked into it.

Re: Kick Panels

I sent an e-mail to Tony. He has raised his prices.

I am a member on the 67-72Chevytrucks.com web site. I saw a post on the cowl panels, and kick panels. I am wondering how soon I could get a cowl panel. I'm looking for one with wipers and antenna. I would also like to know what size speakers the kick panels are designed for (without tweeters) ? What is the lead time on these also?
What would be the cost for shipping to Indiana?
Also, my truck has factory A\C, does the vacume diaphram on the passenger side fit under the panel, and can you still use the lever to open drivers side?

How do you recieve payment?

Thanks Kokomoooo

Hello Kokomoooo, below is some current info on my kick panels and as far as my cowl panels they are all made to order and i think i can have one ready for you in about one week but i don't offer one with the antenna hole anymore due to there's a lot of different antenna bases out there and some guys had to fill the hole i made and they were not happy about doing the extra work. Sorry
the current price for a smooth cowl with wiper holes is $235.00 plus about $75.00 shipping.

1. ABS textured finish without vent grilles, (round or teardrop shape) =$110.00 pr.
2. ABS textured finish with black plastic vent grilles,(round or teardrop shape) =$130.00 pr.
3. ABS Vinyl covered "without" vent grilles (round or teardrop shape) = $160.00 pr.
4. ABS Vinyl covered "with" black plastic vent grilles(round or teardrop shape)=$180.00pr

NOTE: All of these panels "Do Not" include speakers and are Not pre-cut for speakers or air vent grilles. and are set up to hold 5-1/4" speakers.
and they can be attached by pre-drilling the kick panel and using self tapping sheet metal screws or for a cleaner look you can also use an automotive grade Velcro tape.
And as far as the OEM air hose you will have to get a little creative because as you can see in the pic that my vent are a rectangular shape, so what i have done on mine,
is i formed an adapter out of a thin cardboard to mount from my rectangle grille to the round OEM hose. and for the factory ac diaphram, it should be fine but please send me picture of your truck just to be safe.
sorry but i do not have any printed instructions for my kick panel but you can call me direct if you have any questions i can help you with.
also please add approx $25.00 for shipping if your only ordering kick panels and disregard the $25.00 if you are ordering cowl and kick panels, as i can put the kick panels in with the cowl to save on shipping charges. for payments you can send me a check/money order or paypal.
Thanks for your interest and feel free to call or email on any questions you might have.

Tony

Re: Kick Panels

Does anyone know how thick those kick panels are? I have been looking at the prices for textured ABS, it's pretty cheap depending on the thickness. I bet it would be pretty easy to vacuum form something like that. I may have to give it a try, I have a vacuum pump any several types of heating elements. I have done a little vacum forming in the past. I bet I could make some of those.
If anyone knows the thickness of those kick panels let me know! Thanks!

Re: Kick Panels

I.m using 6 1\2" speakers so I can't use them. I may just cut out kick panel to fit speaker and weld an enclosure on the other side and use a carpeted kick panel. May still order a cowl though.

Re: Kick Panels

Wow thats some increase in price in 13 months, from $100 for a vinyl covered pair with grilles to $180, an 80% increase, too rich for me with shipping and import duty. I may have to fibreglass my own.

I paid about $129.99 for my LMC Kick Panels (w/Stock Speakers).
If you go to high end Pioneer speakers, then that price is $179.99.

I for one am happier than a Hog in SH*T, to see something besides the "same ole...same ole".
I'm in touch with Tony, and intend to get the Teardrop Panel with Vent in ABS.
Since my Trucks in the Shop and they're painting the Interior, I'm gonna have them shoot these.
My Son installs Automotive Stereo Systems for a living, so he'll be doing the cut-outs Speaker/Tweeter install.
I could never BEGIN to make something like this, so I'm quite thankfull for Tony coming up to bat with theses.
As far as the price, I feel it's justified. I'm assuming it's only "part time" he's making these.
Probably niot getting a steady stream of orders, so his "price increase" is OK by me.

Just MY observation.
I have since put my LMC Kick Panel Speakers (never been installed and still in the Box), up in the Classified section here.
Once I saw these, there was no comparison!

Well they'll be sprayed by the end of next week.
Then I'll be waiting until I buy the Speakers and my Son installs them for me.

I had some Major surgery 2 weeks ago (see here)
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=468421

So there is no work (that I can do) to my Truck right now.
It is currently in the Shop, getting the Exhaust Tucked into the Frame,
(see here at)http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=463974

Then while its in there, the AC Relays will be fixed, along with new "Hella Horns" put in.

Then it will be back home, where my Son will be installing the Stereo, Kick Panels, Speakers.
It probably wont be for another 4-6 weeks.
Sorry for the Delay, but Life got in the way.

I dont know if the guy I got them from, is still making them or not.
My set of these Kick Panels have been painted to match my new Interior, and have been put up in the rafters in my Garage.
Still waiting for my Son to come and install my Stereo.

Funny thing is, that I've been waiting ,
(as he offered to install it) 2 years ago.
We lived up in Nor Cal and he was in AZ.
I was going to Fly him up to install my Stereo in 2009.
Then my Wife and I moved down to the Palm Springs area,
(about a 4 1/2 Hours Drive) straight shot on the 10 from him,
and I STILL can't get his ass over here to install it!
