Re: My 64 goes to Lowboy for a back half

Its up and rollin.... drove it to get gas, and pick some parts at checker. Then took the luckiest girl in the world for a spin around the block. Everything seems to be working. Need to adjust the kickdown, give it a better tune and I am getting a vibe under deceleration I will have to work out. Still have to plumb and wire the air system...but she rides real nice!

I will try to get some pics up today before I goto Tulsa.

My Porter hinges are done so gotta get the hood on it too....tons to do...never ending.

Re: My 64 goes to Lowboy for a back half

lol still no pics. Did my 4 valve set up, tested and it leaked so then I redid it. Havent tested it. Put a stereo, amp and sub in it. Rob came over and we set the timing and adjusted the kick down. Tried to fix some valve cover leaks and a front timing cover leaks...When I left the front cover still leaked and I didnt get to see if the covers did.

Oil leaks always plague me...hate em

The back was done at Lowboy...hes a friend so we bartered stuff with cash. Not sure what he charges for a back half. I did (with help of friends) 85% of all the work on this thing. The front cross member was already sectioned into the frame, so all i had to do is left the steering. it wasnt low enuff so I pie cutt the upper spring mounts. I did all the bag, and plumb and wire...that stuff costs an easy grand with valves, line bags, compressors and tanks. You can do it cheaper with airbaggit stuff (which was my original plan) but as usual I spend too much.

you can email lowboy off his site and ask him what he would charge you for all of it...

Not sure if that helps you out

Re: My 64 goes to Lowboy for a back half

Took it for its longest trip to a little car/hot wheels show.

I still have some oil leaks that are plaguing me and I really should get it aligned.
