Re: Seat belt=Kill belt?
How could you possibly know this? Not trying to start a debate, but can you really claim you know for a fact that wearing a seat belt would have killed them?

Seat Belt: Offers some sort of safety in a crash, with control of your position.
No Seat Belt: NO form of control, and possibility of ejection. I'll take the seat belt. I have seen what happens when folks are ejected. |

Re: Seat belt=Kill belt?
My older brother flipped a 87 grand am 5 times if he had his seat belt on he wouldn't be here. The roof crushed down so far it broke both front seats. But your more likely to win the powerball then be a wreck where not wearing a seat belt does any good.

Re: Seat belt=Kill belt?
been a fire/rescue guy since 1972, never pulled a body out of a car due to seat belt killing them. Pulled them out from under the car, pulled them out of the back seat etc...yes there are exceptions to seat belts not helping but they are so remote the odds are in our favor. also, air bags and belts save more lives than you can imagine. wrecks that people died in back in the 70's and 80's are now very survivable. We've had people walking around after wrecks that would have been fatal in the past.

Re: Seat belt=Kill belt?
IMO 3 point belts are the best option...altho, you hit something hard enough the shoulder strap will brake, and then the lap belt buckle will do major internal damage, and you'll fly out the windshield anyways....but the lap belt did have my shoes firmly buckled somehow as far as living or dieing, its in Gods hands.
