Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
I like your build. Moving right along! You should try using the original s-10 front body mount like texas 56 to get alow stance. Good luck and keep the pictures coming.

'53 Chevy car grill is cool, you can get extra teeth for them, too! I've got the light pods from one that I keep saying I'm going to use some day.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
This has got to be the most unique build that I've ever seen on here. Keep up the good work, and keep those pix comin'.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
found a cop lite at the junk yard and with a little drilling, grinding and cussing i made it fit,..put the gas tank in and i'll tell you if you mount your cab any lower than 3 1/2'' it won't work,it's close...

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
My S-10 is only 2 years older and it doesn't have that extra step in the front of it. It's pretty much square. Weird.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
If mine was like your's I probably would have used that take. I have my cab at 3 1/2" and it was to close for me. So I went a different way with the gas tank.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
having that step up in the tank is depending on what size gas tank your truck came with. the one with the step is a 15gal the one without would be a 10gal tank. the year has nothing to do with the size of the tank it was motor and trans combo that determined that. most of the stick s10 came with the 10gal and the auto came with the 15gal.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
FYI. I used S10 Blazer tank and rear cross members in ours. Worked great but takes up more bed space. I'm thinking 15 gallon on the next one.

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
Dan i got the steering wheel from this local place called road side relics this guy has about 300 cars and trucks from the 60's back to the early 40's i found the wheel in a early 50's ford truck (and it was not happy)and the horn button came from an early 40's chevy car. When i saw the wheel it begged me to take it home and now it's happy again

Re: '52 GMC custom/S-10 swap
Is it necessary to cut the support to get the rad to fit?
