Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

Here's mine, painted the yellow/orange caps the same color as the rims(coating in a can) and painted the center bowtie and ring red, goes nice with the red grill emblem and I had the chevrolet on the tailgate painted the same...

Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

I put the Vette/Camaro style Rallys on my truck back in the mid 90's, painted to match the body, with truck centers.

The black ones I just put on my 77 are 88+ Rallys, powdercoated gloss black, with chrome centers and black lug nut covers.

Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

I like to see the painted steel wheels put to use. I've got a set of the 15x8 rally's sandblasted and primed, almost ready to go on my daughter's truck.

Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

Here are the steel wheels that were on my truck. They're just painted the same color as my truck with a narrow ring and Chevy truck center cap. If you get the car rallies you could add a moon center or something. Name: front old wheel.jpg

Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

I had an old set of 8 spoke wheels that i got for free. I thought i'd clean them up a lil and use them as winter wheels. I just painted them to match the body, added trim rings and GM center caps with spinners. The were nothing special, but actually had a few guys ask me if i wanted to sell them. They were 15 x 7's and 15 x 10's.

No, they're reproductions, fit like regular Chevy rally wheel caps.

Re: Who has updated their steel wheels?

I'm ashamed to post mine after seeing the beautiful shiny paint your wheels are sporting.

I just used thick black Hammerite on the centers and thick silver Hammerite on the rims about 10 years ago. It was just a quick brush on job at the time to cover over all the nicks and scratches from the original wheel rings that I discarded.

Add to that -- this is my daily driver/beater and it hasn't even been washed since before Christmas. With the weather as it is, I'm not much into washing trucks unless they actually need it. :>/ Even my wife's Caddy is pretty grimey.

I bought mine from a guy at GoodGuys Charlotte a couple years ago. He's a vendor out of Raleigh NC, I see him at all the big shows in Virginia and the Carolinas. I might have one of his flyers in the garage, may take me a few days to look/find it. They're a GM licensed product and I think I paid $100.00 for all 4 new in the box.

I tried looking online a few minutes ago, wanted to post a link for you, nothing. I'll keep looking.

Thank You very much!! I will take any info you can get for me. I purchased a set of 10" chrome rally's a few month's back and they came with just the smooth dog dish, but I really like the one's you have with the chevy emblems.
Thanks Again!!!!
