Restorod: The Nason paints are Generally mixed 4:2:1. So a gallon of paint will give you just over 1.5 gallons of sprayable paint. Oldschool is using Chromabase base/clear which is reduced 1:1. So his one gallon of paint gives 2 gallons of sprayable paint. You should have more than enough paint.

The truck looks nice. I have been wanting to get a sewing machine for years to do some upholstery. My dad keeps telling me its no big deal and he can do it. He did upholstery when he was in the air force fixing parachutes and did some automotive stuff too.

Re: sneak peak oldschools 85

got amp rack done and started the speaker panels for on the lower door, I built the amp rack over 2 years ago and just now finished it like 3 days ago....I painted the back of it flat black and waited for the paint to set up then brushed it over and over again thought it would give a cool look behind the clover mesh......but it didnt but it still looked goodName: amp painted.jpg

Re: sneak peak oldschools 85

I don't know what to say about that..... Other than don't feel bad, I get very few replies to threads I start as well.

I like seeing guys build from scratch, It shows different ways of doing things and shows their talents. And you sir are doing a good job, I subscribed to this thread at the start. I've been saving pics as you go for safe keeping. When I ever get far enough along with my project to do the interior, I will look back on all the saved pics and decide which ideas to incorporate in with my own to come up with my one of a kind interior.

That's what this board it all about, People sharing ideas and knowledge.

Thanks for your contribution !!!
