I'm not sure about the caddy calipers? Ran into major snag doing the rear conversion. When I went to remove the center pin in the middle of my 12 bolt rear, the bolt holding the pin in broke off down inside the carrier. There is no way for me to get the bolt out, and with the bolt in the pin cannot be removed to get the c-clips out.....so I just cut off the old back plate of the drum brake assembly. anywho, got every thing ready to put the calipers on the right rear. And now I can't find my c-clamp to open the calipers enough to get them over the discs. I was ready to call it a day anyway. If anyone else has installed this kit on their truck let me know of anything you can think of to ease my suffering.

Re: M.A.D. 66 build
Gonna be a good build for sure.
But, in all those pictures, why is Larry the Cable Guy helping your son? Sorry man, couldn't help myself. Anyone ever told you that you could be his twin? Gitter Done.

A brief celebration, and then back at it. We're trying to have it road worthy by Friday. Going to driver her to Austin for the Lone Star round up.

Re: M.A.D. 66 build
I can't believe it's been 4 years since I've posted anything on here. Sorry to say but the MAD project got put on the back burner, we have moved 3 times since the last pictures that I posted we taken. She's been started and moved in and out of the garage and my son and I have done a few things here and there. But the time is here to finally get her on the road. I will post some more pictures in a few days showing where we are now.

Re: M.A.D. 66 build
No, no ticket, she would not stay running and died right after putting a bit of gas in to get home. One of our city's finest pulled in behind me and we talked hot rod's and old trucks until the wrecker showed up. We've been hard at it for the last 2 days pulling the old motor and getting the new motor prepped for installation. My son and I have been up till 2 the last two nights in a row pulling and then installing the new to us motor. We were going to pull and rebuild the motor after we found a stuck lifter and a broken push rod. While searching for new heads and various parts Lady luck showed up. A buddy of mine knew a guy who heard of a guy who had a completely rebuilt SBC sitting on a shelf that never made it into his father/son project. After a quick phone call and exchange of stories about our projects I got an amazing deal for a bad ass little motor. It's been sitting on a shelf for the last 5yrs just waiting. Anywho, we have to finish installing everything tonight and can hopefully have her running by Sunday! Wish us Luck!

Re: M.A.D. 66 build
Very nice!
Any more details about your new little bad-ass motor? Looks like there have been quite a few undocumented changes in the past few years based on the latest pics! Glad to see that you didn't loose interest, or sell it!

Re: M.A.D. 66 build
Our new motor is a 4 bolt 350 out of a 71 camper special. She's been bored 30 over and rebuilt with a nice little rv cam. I haven't gotten all of the details on the lift and duration but was told it should run very good for low to mid rpm's 1500-5500. She's been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for the last 6 yrs wrapped in plastic. The sad part is the PO has the cab, frame and trans. still sitting and waiting for someone to snatch them up and finish up what should be a really cool project. The PO has 5 different trucks in various levels of disassembly stored in his yard/warehouse. He says he'll take $3500 for the whole lot. Not quite sure I'm ready to jump on another project just so soon. I'll try and get some pics up of the stuff at his yard as well as the new motor installed come Monday.
