i just measured my wheels it looks like that would work , if i bought them i would almost want to have a 9 inch hoop put on them?? do you known if that is possible ?? and do you know how long it is going to take to get the back two back ?? i am really interested

Are you still in the process of getting the rears rehooped? Can I go wider on the rears? 12 or 13 with Budnik?

You commented earlier that the fronts need a dropmember or narrowed setup, can you explain a little more why, I don't really know the differences. I bought that ART setup from you, would I be okay in the front? If cheby passes let me know, I'd be interested in the set (with more information) without the steering wheel, I know another board member wanted the steering wheel.

I've been told it will take a week or so once they receive the other rim. I will check and see if they could do a different size hoop for the rears.

From what I've been told since disc brakes stick out wider, someone with a bagged truck would have rubbing/clearance issues. The dropmember narrows the trac width of the front to bring them in closer...but each truck is specific and it depends on what spindles you're using and how much trimming you're doing...

I switched from drums to discs but didn't see any difference, but it has been quite a few years. I will check the backspacing based on the values you posted earlier.

Yea, I'd like to go wider in the back, so if you don't mind checking it would be appreciated.

They don't have the second wheel...it's on the way to them from the PO. THey may have gotten it today from what he said, but they didn't respond. I won't accept payment till I have confirmation they are there with firm prices and timeline. I then will ship the two wheels (and steering wheel) I have out to whoever buys them.

no problem. Still haven't heard back from Budnik on hoop pricing or the status of the second wheel anyways...although I think your truck would look quite good with them too

Update: The shipping company lost the wheel AGAIN! So....another shipping claim. Once that's done I'll be having a brand new 22 made and the other will be re-hooped. I'll post again when I get the shipping claim settled and figure out how much my investment is and they will be sold for that....just need to get rid of these wheels

Forgot about the hoop pricing....from Jay at Budnik's email:

22’s come in 8.5” width or 10” they would need to be narrowed to 9 which is $ 300 per wheel to widen past to a 22x12 we could do it for $ 600 a wheel.

Update....can ship two of the wheels and the steering wheel immediately. One wheel is at Budnik to be re-hooped. The other was lost AGAIN...this time by USPS (first time it was UPS) So the shipping claim is going through....but that doesn't matter....if someone wants these they will now be getting one completely new wheel (verified budnik will make the one I need) and I will take 300 off the price to buy two new rear tires. And you still will get the one nice used tire....

I am very interested, but given how many shipping problems have occurred, I will wait until you have four rims on your hands.

This would be perfect for my build though.

I understand that everyone is in front of me. If you get the four in your hands, let me know. I also have to assume that the original seller stepped up.

I will check with Steinepstein but he's the only one in line right now. I wasn't planning to ever get the other two wheels shipped to me. I don't want to pay the shipping from California to VA for Budnik to ship...they will just be drop shipped (with insurance) to whoever wants the wheels and I will ship (with insurance) the other two wheels and steering wheel. Also, if you let me know now, you can set the backspacing on the rear rims and even determine how wide you want them.

As for the seller, he has said he will pay to have the one wheel fixed and the other remade completely from the shipping claims, but I have yet to see a penny. So when I sell the wheels I will be paying to have them remade out of the sales proceeds and then hoping to get some money back from the original seller for the shipping claims..

The wheel are available to buy now. I will not be having them finished until someone purchases so they can choose the hoop size and offset for the rear. So as soon as someone commits, tells me the size they want, and pays, the wheels will be produced. The two rear wheels will ship from Budnik and the front two and steering wheel will be shipped from me upon payment.

UPDATE AS OF JUNE 13th 2010

As soon as I receive payment for the rims the rears will be re-hooped/re-made to your hoop size and backspacing request. a 10" hoop is included in the cost. You can go with a 9" for the same price or 12" or larger for an additional charge (whatever Budinik will charge over the std hoop) YOu can choose the backspacing for the rears. If you want the front backspacing changed you can do that at your additional expense. I will ship you (or budnik) the two front wheels and steering wheel. And Budnik will make the rear two and ship to you within a couple weeks.
1850 plus actual shipping for everything or 1700 plus actual shipping without steering wheel plus 200 for steering wheel shipped (not available separate unless whoever buys the wheels doesn't want it.) Figure around 400 for shipping

The PO still hasn't given me a penny of the shipping claim money...trying to figure out how I can legally make him since it's not his money to keep but mine since I never received the product as described.
The 1850 is under half price for these rims/tires/wheel....
