Re: 68 burb on the loose
Hey guys whats up?I will snap some pictures of the body at the body shop tomorrow.Last time I saw the body it was getting new wheel tubs installed from AVS,new gas filler door(shaved).I supplied all new front sheet metal for a 67,so I will check on it tomorrow. As far as the frame,I am installed a complete airride system from Accuair,Reno really hooked me up on this deal.I have the latest system with level sensors, remotes, dual chrome compressors, and touch pad.I am installing the kit now and will post pics this week also.So she is coming along quite nicely.Thats for checking guys.

Re: 68 burb on the loose.update 11/11/11
got a few update on this burb.still trying to reel in the project.first I tackled the fuel delivery to the engine .I have a ls6 fuel pump inside my no limit fuel tank and now I have my fuel filter installed inside the frame rails and properly grounded.A line driveshafts here in STL made it up for me.These guys know their stuff.I installed a new GM starter and some new Sanderson headers that are coated, not chromed. These guys fit like a glove.
Now we are installing the accuair full airride kit. This is where we are so far We have made holes and installed grommets and installed air tank and ran all air lines.I will have more to show this week end.take it easy guys. Ed |

Re: 68 burb on the loose
I finally got the truck back from the body shop..That's Regena at the back of the truck.Man I have alot of work to do.I will pick up all of my parts from the shop on Mon,like new doors, upper and lower tailgates(reconditioned),all new 67 front clip, and trim.On the pics I have to raise the floor near the tranny and drive shaft.Recut the wheel tubs alittle higher.About 2 days work. Then I will make her run and off to final paint then reassemble.

Re: 68 burb on the loose
I was running out of room.I am gonna cut the rear floor out and build a new one out of metal and then install a false floor above it.I have to shave the fuel door and rear marker lamps. Thanks to all of you great builders out there for keeping me motivated.I wanted to sell this guy a million times.
Finally where can I find one of the high hump tranny covers some of you guys use on your builds. Thanks for looking. Ed |
