Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
Very nice & I would definetly pay the $4500 for it...cost alot more to get one to that stage. However, say $7000 more for paint that brings it to $11,500 + your time in it...not alot of room for clear cash profit in this economy. But a good buy if you were wanting to keep it or maybe use to trade for something else.
Let us know what comes of it all!

Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
That looks like a nice deal for the money! Don't have any idea on the turnover for profit...weird economy
Do the numbers match the title??

I will be checking that out before paying but he said it was a Colorado forestry truck so he's the second owner and has had it for 6 years. He even has the maintenance records from Colorado.

Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
I actually went to look at this as a potential for a 2wd conversion but even though the tub is basically perfect, I can't bring myself to tear it down because it's too close to complete....someone will get a sweet rig when it's done!!!

Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
Going to take him the cash and get the title this afternoon. We settled on 4250. He had even more parts to finish it up than I thought and I also have a ton of them sitting in my "stash" that I've collected while working on my truck...
Think I'm going to start a build thread about finishing it up to sell once I get it home and start on it....

Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
Thanks guys. Loaded up some of the extra parts tonight. It filled my van completely. Three sets of buckets, two with consoles, three extra NEW fenders to sell, NOS window regulators, Great original grille shell, inner, and bowtie emblem, A ton of gaskets, all the hardware for the hatch and to mount the top (thought I'd have to buy that), spare tire holder in new shape, complete set of new lights (thought I'd have to buy those too) Leveling mats for the rear, the chrome carpet mounting strips (yep, thought I'd have to buy those too) And he has some of the paint.
I will need to buy a little more paint and the carpet and a few other door gaskets, but that's it. So the deal got better. Gave me many of the original parts that are in great shape for resale as well

That sounds fun to me. I would love to take a closer look at your new acquisition.
I'm looking at your parts thread right now. Boy was I a sleep at the wheel on that. You have/had some stuff I might have wanted. |

Re: WIW...trying to decide tonight to buy tomorrow...
Well maybe it is a Colorado thing lately. I picked this one up for $8,000 it may not have a few of the original items, but it is rust free and original. Locker front and rear, gears, lift, 36" swampers, etc. All in great shape. I am sure you may make a buck or 2 on it. Once I finish up a few things on mine I sure I could sell it for profit as well. They incolde a rear seat, stereo, etc.
Best of luck. |
