Thanks, I have a 210 syncrowave that does all the heavy duty aluminum (1/4") stuff. I just need another machine that I can take with me inside the night clubs that I usually do work in. The 200 dynasty will never happen unless I find one at a pawn shop for half price

PLEASE someone help me out as to where you guys are taking/making your 14" and 6" measurements for this on the actual frame??? i have a longbed 84 im looking to convert to shortbed and am not getting the "measurements" to compute for the 'z-cut"?????? HELLP!!!!!!

It doesn't really matter. I went 7" off the back of the cab.

BUT,

If I were to do it again, I would cut right in the middle of where the rearmost tank mount would go, so you have the added benefit of bolts holding it together as well as weld as well as fishplate.

so i could get the "z-cut" this way? planning on doing it this way as i want to (if possible) add the cut frame portion to a 4x4 swb,to make it a lwb(what im using the bed,and tank from for the shortening im doing on my 2wd lwb c10)

Just to reiterate, that diagram isn't specifically for a 73-87 style truck. The dimensions and locations aren't right. That's for 67-72 trucks specifically.
