Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
I have a few questions, what is the color of the wheels, it's not just a regular white is it? And did you use aftermarket trim?

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
Fortunately, I had a very clean and straight top, it has a few hairline cracks but for the most part, it was in great shape. I cleaned it two times with a boat hull fiberglass type cleaner and a delicate power washer. My buddy used a one step enamel type paint that could have also been used on car bodies also, it has a pretty high gloss but it just makes it look very clean and new looking. The color is a bright white color. We used the same paint for the wheels also. After it dried, it is super hard to the feel and I am very happy with the results.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
I don't know the name of the color but see the post above. I used NOS trim for all but two pieces but for the most part, the aftermarket trim is probably just as good from my experience. The only piece of aftermarket trim that was not that good was the tailgate trim, both of the top parts that fit into the center piece over the handle.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
Got a Q? How was SMS on there delivery date, they quoted me 3-4 weeks. Is the material a good match to the original?
Your seats look great, actually, your whole truck looks great...nice job!

Are the stock front springs upside down, or is that an optical illusion?

I have been fortunate enough to see this thing first hand, and let me tell you, bigdon has taken the needed steps to put this thing back together, and do it right.
Beautiful work Don! The swatch of fabric looks like it went along way... Those seats look cozy!

My fabric from them came fairly fast but they got the order wrong and it took them 3 tries and a couple months to fix what was a pretty simple request. The fabric I eventually received was a perfect match.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
Delivery was OK, I can't remember so it was probably ok time wise. The match was great, I would say about 90% perfect. The ribbed pattern did the correct thing but the pattern was a bit wider than the original but it fit ok on the utility buckets so you could not really tell. The biggest thing about the pattern was that as you remember was the fact that the pattern across the back was ok for the back but there was not a just plain straight ribbed pattern for the seat bottoms. Originally the pattern started in the middle of the back and went straight down to the bottom and over the front edge of the seat and down without repeating the middle back pattern. Sounds complicated but we had to repeat the design at the middle back on the seat bottom also, which really turned out OK but it was not a perfect 100% match. I also did not match the plain ribbed pattern on the back of the rear seat only because I failed to send them a picture of it. I just know they sent me several samples that were not correct and insisted that this was all they had. I never take the first 5 no's for the answer so someone mentioned a guy there name of Doug (I think) and I contacted him by phone, emailed a pic of what I needed to his personal e addy and he located it, and sent me pics to confirm. Once that all was done, it was a piece of cake, just $75 a yard! But when I got it, you could tell it was old school stuff, on the shelf a long time but it was ok strength wise according to the little upohlstry girl.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
They are not upside down, I completely disassembled them and put them back togather correctly. I thought the same thing but I have since seen several other blazers with same suspension look. They do look fairly flat.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
Thanks for the kind words but this forum is and has been the greatest source of info and inspiration that I could have. I discovered it soon after getting the blazer in 2005. I do have another question. Did any of you guys who redid the weatherstrip around the door on the double wall top have any problems with window sealing up well? Seems like the drivers side is a bit loose as far as fit is concerned and it will leak, I am sure. What did you guys do? Thanks again.
