Re: Project Tweaked - 2wd Blazer build
Well, I went by the paint shop today and saw the progress but no pics of that. Sorry! They finished all of the trim work and got all of the body panels bolted back on and aligned. He plans to paint it tomorrow.
Now for a little eye candy. I started the engine build tonight. I started with a ram jet marine engine, hence the green epoxy paint that the vat at the machine shop wouldn't remove. The block has been bored .030 over, and the crank lived standard/standard. It will eventually have a LT4 hot roller cam with Edelbrock RPM heads and air gap RPM intake with a 750 Holley carburetor. I will be swapping the turbo 350 for a 700r4 with a few upgrades. I can't wait to mash the loud pedal! |

Re: Project Tweaked - 2wd Blazer build
Wow, I went to see the new coat and all I can say is wow! I wish you could see the blue paint. It has a real fine metal flake and looks amazing up close. He applied 3 coats of clear, and it shows. The paint looks real deep. I can't wait to get it put back together!
Now for the long awaited pics: Last edited by Mr.Chevy4x4; 06-04-2010 at 06:15 PM. |

Re: Project Tweaked - 2wd Blazer build
Thanks! I noticed that, but I'm about to change the motor, trans, and exhaust so I'm not worried about it. They did a good job of not getting over spray on everything else.

Re: Project Tweaked - 2wd Blazer build
Ok, here's the update! Finally!
I have installed all of the wheel well molding, Silverado trim, emblems, tail lights, tailgate band, door handles, and new lock cylinders. I also installed the new front marker lights. Still have to get the side marker lights in. Since these pictures from this morning I have pulled the motor and transmission in preparation for installing the new bullet. Now for the long awaited pictures. Last edited by Mr.Chevy4x4; 06-19-2010 at 07:35 PM. |

Re: Project Tweaked - 2wd Blazer build
And now for a little more eye candy. Santa UPS came last week and brought some new shoes. The wheels are 18x8 and 18x9.5 and the tires are 245/45 and 295/45 Nitto 555's. He also brought the parts I needed to finish the new motor.
Check it out! |
