I'm developing a plan.
I like the Billet Specialties wheels idea.
I wish I could find original bench seat upholstery in the Parchment color.

The SPID sheet is faded and hard to get a good picture.
There's only two options on it.
Bronze paint, and gold(?) vinyl trim.

So the interior will probably be switched to black.

Re: Bought Another Truck- 1970 Stepside

Today I pulled the interior out.
Under the rubber floor mat,... I found the original padding and a pretty nice floor.
The kick panel area is really nice.
It looks like the previous owner had repainted the footwell area on the drivers side with a brush. There was also evidence of rain leaking in, so I'll probably pull the windshield.
The PO had, at some time, installed an aftermarket AM/FM/Casstte player.
Luckliy the dash was not cut.
I'll be repainting the original radio delete plate (unless I can find a nice used on in this color), since it came that way from the factory.

i kindah liked the colour of the current bench think its destressed leather i seen it being used on some of the house sofas

maibe someone that upholsters cars and trucks can spice it up a bit by making channels across the seat and back area that should be enough to make it look like it belongs there

I am happy for you that truck went to the right guy. You have to be constantly looking and be ready to buy. The one you don't look at is the one you should have bought!!!!

Keith, I would call Jerry Brown at The Truck Shop in Tenn. I know he isn't the answer to everything, but he has been into these trucks longer than anybody I know. He did my interior from a bolt he had stashed away. My truck still has that new car smell. Call him, he may can help you with this. Or he may laugh...Worth the call though.

I'm interested in everything, including a radio delete plate.

I have the original delete plate that came with the truck,... but it looks like it was stored in the glovebox for 40 years.
(lots of scratches)

Dealer-installed "farmer bumper" as I always called 'em. My back bumper on my former truck (sob-sob) was like that one, but with a bit less curve at the ends.

Congrats on a super-clean original find.
