Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
the dash has the guages instead of idiot lights ,which was an upgrade option, have you popped the hood ?, might have a 283 v8!

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
I am thinking it might be a 230 6, my 64 owners manual lists the 230 as blue, and the v8 as gray....
seat and arm rests have some red as the back of the cab...did the white look like it was the original paint?

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
Tough to say....Is there a SPID somewhere that we can see what would have been original?

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
63 came with a Cool Pack air conditioner that was suspended under the dash. It has the rare red vinyl Deluxe seat. That seat only came on trucks as an option for trucks painted white grey or black. Red armrests to boot though the base plastic should be cream not white. The material is also deluxe on the seat. It has the 2 speed wiper with windshield washer. Cigarette lighter. Deluxe heater. Original radio, the antenna base that's remaining looks a little low but could be the camera angle. The gauge to the left of the ignition switch is not original, that space was for the throttle cable. Standard steering wheel black cast painted white. No reverse lights. Door inserts not painted white.
Very Nice truck. P.S. There's never a truck that has been abandoned, just they haven't got around to fixing it yet!

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
good information.... How can you tell it had AC? Also, what do you mean about the antenna base looking low? Here is a better pic of that area....

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
That is an old CB antenna. The correct antenna is on the passenger side.

Re: Abandoned truck.....help me identify!
This was not an original A/C truck. The Cool Pack would have been installed as I previously mentioned. The X brace on the rad support would have been removed and the condensor and dryer would easily be seen behind the grill. If you purchase this truck we have all sorts of info and pictures to share. Look in this thread for more info if your interested.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=351107 I'm really just a 63 guy. 4-5-6 is interesting as far as the changes to parts but that's about it. OOps sorry Rich!
