Re: How Many?

mine has one also. The PO added one in the cowl but I ditched it and bought a new plug for the windshield and works fine.

All of mine do, it was pretty much standard for many years. I think it started in 78, but not sure

Re: How Many?

You are prolly asking because of the crapy FM-RADIO reception
and static AM-RADIO reception ...??

Windshield antenna's (antenni ?) are impractical for areas with
large hills or mountains to block and deflect AM - FM Radio signals .

The alternative is to install an exterior telescoping antenna .
The improved radio reception is marginal for FM , but you will
notice better results for AM - Radio signals .

There is also another alternative that requires no cutting of antenna
mounting holes in the truck body ... but it involves the use of fruit
and / or vegetibles ....

I owned a junker Monte Carlo that had a fabulous sound system in it
but the radio reception simply sucked .
The body style prevented installing an external antenna without having
to cut a hole thru double metal.
So i simply unplugged the windshield antena from the radio, plugged in
an old broken telescoping antenna and skewered a fresh potatoe on
the antenna stub !

The reception was even stronger than any external antenna would
have provided !!!
