No, sorry. I've been busy cleaning up some bodywork on this rear notch.

And I've been buried at work with the end of the year...

Re: 1961 Indian

I've tried to avoid posting this comment, but I'm at my wit's end with Chris Alston's Chassis Works. These guys have driven the KP Components brand into the gorund. Not only did I have to wait over 3 months for the rear bag set-up on backorder, now I'm dealing with flawed parts. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. You have to call and harass the sales people to get your parts, they will not keep you updated on ETA's for things that are on backorder. Mike with Chris Alston is a true piece of work, and could not care less that you've been waiting for parts for weeks. It's a shame because Clint Petree of KP has designed great products, but now suffers from Chris Alston's shop poor service.

My advice to anyone building one of these trucks, stick with Porterbuilt, or Scott's Hot Rods who have a superior reputation on this board. Just my $.02 - buyer beware.

Re: 1961 Indian

Very cool! I also planed on running the kp 6 link until Porterbuilt came out with the trailing arm rear setup! Your truck is a long bed and it looks like you will have no problem running a rear bumper! When I talked to Clint he was unsure if I could run a rear bumper on a short bed with the 6 link. Sorry to hear about the service! I won't buy any more suspension parts from anyone other than Porterbuilt! Frame looks good what did the stripper charge you to do the frame?

He's done a few things for me now, and I can't remember the exact price to strip and prime the frame. I think it was $350-$400, but I'd call Brian and get a ballpark quote.

Re: 1961 Indian

Mounted the upper and LCA's with CPP bushings. SS RE-7's were mounted using bag plates. All grade 8 hardware was used with nylon lined nuts.

Hopefully will get the front and rear brakes installed by the end of the week.

Re: 1961 Indian

I've decided to go in a different direction with this frame, and will be posting this rolling chassis in the Classifieds section later this week. After working with Porterbuilt, his front and rear setup will be completed on the next chassis.

Great stuff so far! It'll be awesome to get a cab back knowing all the stripping is done. My parents live off of Briarcliff in Folsom. Where abouts do you live?

Too funny. I'm probably less than 2 miles from your folks' place.
