Re: "Pabst Blue Ribbon" SOLD..Now I need another.. Oregon dudes, Whos in?

I guess I can use the 3/4 ton drive line and switch the u joints to half ton? I have not even had time to start making a list of all the little things I need.

Right on dude!!!!! Glad to see your gonna be putting another one together. I loved your creativity on the last one. I wish Phoenix prices were that good; I'd have a daily by now......that truck here would be $25oo.

Here's to rattle cannin' and dumpster diving!!!

Thanks Jeff. I am looking forward to getting this little Pearl together. Thanks to the Oregon guys. I am getting a bunch of parts donated. We are gonna take this thing from a 3/4 ton farm truck to long low Pearl. Its gonna be all half ton, Auto and eventually laying frame. For now its gonna look like similar to the one above with the thin whites.

The best part is its gonna be all forum members coming together to do the build. You guys just wait until you see the build pics. Cort, Chizzler, chevytrucknut and several others along we me are gonna do the build in one day. Cant wait to get back on the road.

Here are a few more pics of the new project. Check out how unmolested this truck is. Look under the hood. Original over flow tank.. Cool.

Never seen dual horns before.....that is nicely optioned. Why do the 1/2 ton shorties get so beat? Seems that the C20's are nice; the ones I've seen anyway.

It's gonna be a nice truck, I can tell

Its gonna be sweet.. I am so excited to get it done. I want it done like yesterday. But patience. Which is hard for me.

I am thinking of naming her Pearl. You got any ideas on what to name her or call the build?

Dude, your awesome.. Send me a pm of what you have laying around and what Sundays work for you in the next month. I cant wait to have everybody get together and do this build. I am making a laundry list of what everybody has so we dont have to many parts laying around. (Wait, to many 60-66 parts, that would be dream come true.)

Re: "Pabst Blue Ribbon" SOLD..Now I need another.. Oregon dudes, Whos in?

There is a 64-66 Short bed GMC around the corner from me. Been sitting there on the side of the road for atleast the two years I have been here. Can ask if anyone is interested. Only issue I see is the roof top looks like someone stepped on it and caved in the panel some.

Re: "Pabst Blue Ribbon" SOLD..Now I need another.. Oregon dudes, Whos in?

Well I finally had time to get over and check out the 66 I posted a few pictures of. Unfortunately its not in the shape I thought it was.. Motor is very tired and need a lot of work, body was FULL of bondo, and this week somebody backed into it and crushed the drivers side of the bed in.. So, the search starts over..

I can probably come up with $1000, there a few on Craigslist in Portland I am watching and waiting to hear back about. Let me know if you guys find something.

I dont really mind putting in hard work. I can get a few days with some members to do some overhauling, but I can get one that is a total project. I just dont have the time with a new baby and an wife who is not a huge fan of my truck sickness.

Re: "Pabst Blue Ribbon" SOLD..Now I need another.. Oregon dudes, Whos in?

I have been watching that one closely. I like it but I cant go that high.. Its a stretch right now to even come up with a $1000. But I guess I cant be to picky for that kinda money. I will just wait til the right deal pops up.. They are out there cause I have seen those kinda deals in the past. I guess patience is the key right now.. I am waiting to hear back on that white one in Portland. I have talked with him via email a few times, and he is gonna send me some more pics. So far with the better pics I have seen from him, its a nice truck. The 6 does not really bother me to much. I have a few motors I could put together for it, or just run the 6 for a while cause it runs real good.

Have you looked around the seattle/tacoma area? I have a 66 lwb I need to get rid of soon, but without being a supporting member I won't say more. But all things come when you least expect it.
