Real nice looking truck before and after. I guess we all have those times when things don't work out exactly the way we plan. Look at it this way, you have a real nice truck, and no holes in your walls lol.

Re: slight change to the crew cab

Thanks for all the comments. My wife has renamed it "Clifford", as in the big red(orange) DOG. If you know the story you will get the her point.

Anyways Im pleased with the final product, color turned out great with the gold pearl in the clear, interior is great, tons of compliments too.

Hopefully I make it onto Porterbuilts website as I have the first narrowed set of tublular A arms in existance.

I will pull it out tomorrow and get some pics of the interior.

Darren

They are posted somewhere on here, but I will put them here too. Still trying to figure out a color scheme for door panels and the dash.

Re: slight change to the crew cab

talk to stitch about the door panel and dash cover, he makes top notch stuff for them, and I am sure he can match the color of your seats

Re: slight change to the crew cab

That, or dye the dash and door panels to match the seats, and have the inserts covered to match. Looks great, though.

Re: slight change to the crew cab

Dash has been dyed, door panels too, but the panels did not turn out quit right.
Plush I need to find the proper Dash pad because this one is out of a 91.
I have talked to Stitch, but I need to figure out some design to bring it together.

Sorry, no real updates or changed to the truck. Drove it and enjoyed it for the last weekends before the snow came. Only a nice original dash so dye, so I can put the correct year in.

I really did not take alot of pictures of the work I did, just a ton of work done to it.

Still trying to decide what Im going to do for the panels.

Re: slight change to the crew cab

Okay, here's my 2 cent opinion on the door panels, under the less is more category:

Matching leather replacing the velour inserts, and recovering the padded arm rest.
Dye the hard plastic to match the leather cover.
On the front doors leave the fake wood trim.
Replace the carpet piece on the lower door to match the dark brown on the floor.

Anybody else?

Re: slight change to the crew cab

That's almost exactly what I would do. I would leave the newer (81-up) dash in there since it matches the door panels. I would dye the arm rest vs. recovering it, though. I like the look of the neutral with the orange a lot more than the grey.
