That does look like the relocated original Not sure if the shortbeds were setup the same or not,but my longbed has a separate crossmember for the E brake(behind the trans member)

I really like your use of a engine hoist and wood frame to remove the cab. Great idea which I will steal when it comes time for my project.

Pretty engine you got there. One thing you ought to do with the headers is use a torch and heat treat the paint and use alot coats of the paint so it'll last a long time. Just my .02
