My responce was tounge and cheek from my standpoint because if my Son didn't like them I would have not put them on. Im just messing with those that are messing with me. Nothing Serious here.

I must admit to using Ford mirrors also. They are 73-79 brackets with late 80's-early 90's mirror heads. They give a good view when towing and don't look out of place with the body style. If it helps, the Ford was parted out and other than making a trailer the mirrors are all that survived the crusher. (I need some photos that aren't 2 1/2 years old.)

I think the stock mirrors like 68stebed's truck has are the nicest out of all the stock mirrors on the 67/72 trucks, I have them on my 69 and I wish I would have gone with them on my 72 instead of the stock 72 mirrors. They just look clean.

I agree, I am putting those on mine. Only painted arms instead of stainless.

To take a little heat off JRBECK64, it was my sacrilege installing those mirrors. I still think they worked pretty well for the application (much better than a LOT of mirrors I've seen). For the record, my preference is now 71-72 sport mirrors.

I forget what year these are off of (67?). They shake like a MF'r when driving though. I haven't seen any "RV" type mirrors (with the brackets that go from the bottom of the glass to the top of the door. I like those alot and will probably switch to those soon.

Here's what it had originally. No wonder why they called it a custom camper. It was because you could make a tent out of the mirrors!

And the Shakers!

I agree, is that something you can get thru any of the usual vendors who sell re-pop parts? Do used ones ever show up or they all worn out and no good?

You can get them at Classic Parts or LMC, Classic Parts is cheaper, they're cheaper on most items. Both of them have chrome and paintable models.

Thanks for throwing yourself on the sword but Im like you in that I think they look pretty good on the truck. Looking at those pictures of the truck Short Narrow and how it looks now Long Fleet is crazy.

That's a great idea! Can you still see out of them? I may try that myself, maybe even a little shorter if they would still be useable?
