as 6773fan said ...it is only original once.

I have an original paint 76 sport...the paint is tired but the stripes and the truck are original ....

original trucks will only increase in value...like waterfront land ...they are not making any more

If you are going to sell it, don't do a thing to it.

If you end up keeping it, then think about any "fix ups" that need to be done.

Re: 1974 Chevy K20 with less than 26k original miles

Those stock tires are pretty mean looking. I have some wheels like those 5 of them have Ford stamped on them and 2 of them have GM stamped on them and the GM ones are offset wider than the Ford ones.

and one more of the belly of the beast...
You can see a little fresh oil that trickled down on that hose from an old/leaky worn oil pressure sending unit that I just replaced.

The lock out kit I had put in was even vintage

Re: 1974 Chevy K20 with less than 26k original miles

Great truck. I wouldn't touch a thing just put the original caps on the front, repair the factory AC and keep it on R12, and drive it with the biggest smile in nice weather. The tires I would have bought some original 8 lug 16" white wheels from the 80 - 87 era 3/4 tons and put some stock size smooth tread tires for the ride and since it should never see mud or snow again. I will be watching if this goes up for sale as the more original it is the rarer they are. I had a 74 Custom Deluxe 4x4 back in the late 70's and it was the same color only with the mid chrome and white insert. Being newly married and not having a lot of money I had a local Chevy dealer beg me to buy this truck cause he could not sell it because of that color! I actually liked it. Great truck and keep me informed if it goes up for sale somewhere. Mark

Mark,

Thats a great suggestion regarding the wheels on this. I love the way it looks...but if ya gotta go down the Highway in this, it can be a little rough!
