Come on now... I do have a day job There is probably not going to be much progress until I see what the job situation is. That is why I have really not done anything to my trazer lately. I hate my job with a passion and I am the most unhappy I have ever been in my life because of my job. Hopefully in October this will change and I will get a new job...... we will see.

What are your plans on how to get this bed in shape? Can it be saved, or what?

I have got to get it outside and get it pressure washed and see how bad it is. A lot of what you are seeing there is just dirt, I noticed when I was taking the drive shaft loose that is had a few small rust holes but it didn't look that bad from underneath. In the end it will at least get a spray on bedliner on the bed floor as I want to be able to throw a cooler and such in the bed and not have to worry about scratching it up.

I would have thought from the before pics it was a 15-3K truck. Until you found all the bondo that is. Not sure what they run in your neck of the woods though.

Isn't it amazing how much of that rust can hide from you!!! I have a 67 small window cab that needs major work so I feel your pain. Good Luck and keep the pictures coming.

Re: Went and looke at a 67 today... pulled the tigger

I figured out it is a 68 not a 67.... oh well doesn't really matter to me. I didn't give but $1800 for it so I still don't think I am hurt to bad. I may have the motor and trans sold for $300 and if I can sell the wheels for $100 I won't have but $1400 in it and I may sell the seat that was in it and I would think it would be worth $200 as it has been recoverd and looks real good. So then I wouldn't have but $1200 in it.

I knew it had some rust issues but it really isn't that bad for what it is and what I paid for it. If I would have paid over $4000 or $5000 I would be going to break some legs

New truck is looking good. I wish I had that kind of ambition, lol.

Old truck was a great looking truck, but no truck is ever more important than your family. Trucks can be bought, fixed and sold, family only happens once, and is forever.

Re: Went and look at a 67 today... pulled the tigger

so are you going to shave the markers correctly and make it a 67 to look like your old one? Or keeping it a 68 and going with a different look?

I might leave it a 68 since my blazer has 68 fenders. I really like the look of not having the marker lights too.

If its any solice know that I am taking care of it.
I have to post some pics. I have done quite a bit to it since I've had it.
This tuck is a hoot. I can light em up at any speed.
I embarassed a guy with a souped up G8 the other day. He pulled up with a supercharger whine and smiled like "watch this", a minute later he was making a left turn to save face.
