Re: Parts or Project 78 Chevy SWB

These parts were $450 new plus shipping and all. I still have the boxes for both items.

How does $400 shipped sound?

Should just be 4 screws on the backside of the tailgate. I think that's all that holds it on.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

Re: Parts or Project 78 Chevy SWB

79gmcclassic - passenger side is no good. i am on the road for work right now and will be back on Thursday. I will take a look at the drivers side then to evaluate condition and will then throw you a price. If I remember correctly it is in good condition.

Re: Parts or Project 78 Chevy SWB

Is the 12 bolt original? If so does it have the SPID on the glove box to show what gears it has?

Re: Parts or Project 78 Chevy SWB

Not sure if the 12 bolt is original or not. I can tell you that for some reason the sticker on the glovebox does not have any axle codes at all which is kind of odd.

I thought you found a housing? I've been storing 2x 12bolt housings. One is just the housing; the 2nd is the housing w/a 3.07 peg-leg differential. You should have grabbed one while you were in the hood....

Re: Parts or Project 78 Chevy SWB

I can get housings locally, but was hoping for a complete axle, gears, etc.
