Re: sad things you see in the junk yard

god somebody just bring one of them short beds to me, I'll keep her and fix her up good and right. I'd love to have one just can't afford one around here. I'd take a long bed and then turn it into a short bed if it was free and saving one from the scrap heap.

Re: sad things you see in the junk yard

Here is my sad pic. It's an 85. Only 500 made that year. I tried to buy the cab and bed for 3 weeks, with no luck. It was like my money wasn't worth the little bit of help I needed from them? Anyway......the truck was crushed and is gone forever! Oh, I picked up another 85 about a year later in much better shape. Look for a build thread on it soon

if you can get em for cheap.. grab em clean em up and sell em.. prolly make you a couple bucks

they look good on later model trucks as well, I put a set on a '95 , look'd really good on it.
the van rally's look good on trailors as well.

Actually, I got real lucky with the rally's I came up on... The junk-yard here sold me 4 rims with the caps for $100.

'course they looked like they were dipped in silt, and dirt for 50 years. Don't have any pics.....

but what wonders a lil elbow grease,.. polish and spray-can paint will do..

It had 10" deep 'vette rally's on it when i got the truck from my dad.. but needed tires,.. and couldn't afford the new tires for those rims...

BTW.. yes they do look good on newer trucks as well.... Square Style never dies!!!

they are really popular and expensive here

Conversion vans are the most common vans here like Starcraft or Transcar 2000 but half of the owners dont know what they have.

Damn I was hoping. Parts for the wagon are hard enough to find here! Of course all the old iron around here has been crushed long ago.
