Re: Direction for a Project
We found a "V", bowtie hood emblem, since the original truck only had a straight six. The "V" represents the "V8" under the hood (just a bowtie on the original emblem for the six). Pic two shows the Ivory color going on the tail gate. Pic three shows the blue color back on top of the Ivory. we got the diecut letters to use as a mask for the blue paint. then, wet sanded the edges and buried the Ivory under the clear coats, so it is totally smooth. Pic four shows color and clear on the hood. Pic five shows color going on the inside of the door, and door trim in the background.

Re: Direction for a Project
The doors have the Ivory going into the back of the door windows. The Ivory will be across the back of the cab, following the original color layout. Pic two shows the Ivory that will be behind the chrome grille, also carries the color theme of the original truck. Pic three shows the color on the fender before the clear coat. Pic four shows the bed coming home after being painted at school.

Your frame is very impressive. It's so kool to see where someone else's head is at. GR8 idea and mods looking forward to seeing more pics.

Re: Direction for a Project
Thanks.... We are going pretty well now. There is a three month stop to the truck work after the son graduated from High School, but we have been going at it pretty well since then. We are waiting on the differential to be finished right now. And we are close the cranking the motor, and I will try and post a clip of that if I can.
later... |
