Re: ultimate tow, show and pull truck build
This is an awesome and very unique build! I have a few suggestions, because the duramax alone weighs 836lbs, a 1/2 ton front axle/ suspension will NOT be sufficient. I would suggest upgrading to a Dana 60/70 Front axles and a 14bFF or sterling 10.5 rear axle. They can handle the weight and power. Great for towing, crawling, mudding, pulling, etc. Just my knowledgeable $.02.

Re: ultimate tow, show and pull truck build
no dont have any thing new to add. In the thread it says im using a ford dana60 in front with f350 springs and an aam from a duramax in the rear. sterling 10.5 rears are not a good choice for anything.

Re: ultimate tow, show and pull truck build
Wow dude, awesome build! What bender are you using? Are you using a mandrel, because the bends seem to still be nice and round. Interested in seeing what you are going to use for engine computer... Nice job so far!
BTW - I don't even go on pirate's site anymore because it's overrun by know-it-all web-wheeling tools.

Re: ultimate tow, show and pull truck build
ive got a jmr bender from trick tools. its about 5 years old and seen alot of use. i put a duramax in a 69 2 wheel drive for one of my customers last year. i just used the factory harness and computers and used a ppe programer to turn off vats.
