Re: 82 GMC 1500 2WD short bed conversion
Thanks guys
here's some pics of the seams I'm going to seal them with seam sealer and cover it with bed liner roll on for inside and between the bedsides use aerosol can with brake clean nozzle and tube to get it up to the top also removed the stake pockets Chris thanks i didn't shorten the frame only the box i used a short bed frame off a 73 or 75 parts truck check out the start of the post also here's whats left of my LB frame i have SB box parts off the green truck most likely become a trailer I'll keep the pics coming hope to have it done by winter JM Last edited by junkmen; 08-05-2011 at 11:33 PM. |

Re: 82 GMC 1500 2WD short bed conversion
Thanks
I struggle with finish work there's some areas that wasn't totality smooth and you can see at the right angle and there's a lot of orange peel. i put four heavy coats of clear on it that can be sanded and buffed out. Man some of you guys turn junk it to gems amazing work Thanks JM |

Re: 82 GMC 1500 2WD short bed conversion
I think it was 14in. front and 5 1/2 rear here's a link
if you want other bedsides to bolt on you should get a SB floor and build off it http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...?topic=17343.0 good luck JM |
