it happens worked at a place that the locking teeth that keep the arms on a two post above ground lift from moving when its up in the air fail and the dodge 2500 came crashing down to the ground took out the hood and the rear bumper and 1/4s . scary part i was just under the truck seconds before and the truck had been up there on the lift for a hour or so before it fell . ever seen some one launch a postal LLV off a drive on lift ? another shop i worked in had a kid we called captin crunch drive one right off the lift threw the shop took out a cabnet a big matco tool box and almost knock a car off a lift on the other side of the shop

Those are the light duty "up to 2 tons" lifts I was mentioning earlier. That van is closer to 3-4 tons, depending on if there is any equipment in it. That was a failure waiting to happen.
