Looks good! I need to go up on my pricing. I could do 2 for $90.00. I have done plenty and never had problems with heat. Here is a pic of my comlete coated engine. The chrome pulleys will be Candy Black.

looks good, not a fan of the color, would have rather seen alum or silver or orange like the block. I like the small block above looks good and matches the block looks like.

Coater - engine looks great! On price I wish you lived closer, I quoted three places and the range was from $100-$150.

Chris - I'm with you, not real crazy about the color but it's going to have to work. I'm hoping when it's in the engine compartment, with everything hooked up, the color doesn't stand out as much. Next time it will be lighter gray/aluminum color.

I was going to menton that those new nascar intakes from edelbrock are poweder coated so it should hold up very well.

That looks awesome Coater! That's about the color my engine will be. I am interested in seeing some candy black or black chrome valve covers if you have them.

Take the valve covers and breather cover and have them done as well. It'll tie it all together and look a lot better than straight aluminum and chrome.
Ah, hell, while you're at it, have the headers done, too

I suspect yours is an isolated problem. I've done a few dozen intakes in the last couple of years and no one has had any issues with discoloring. I do use top of the line powder though.

I will get a couple of samples. The Black Chrome is the same color as 77BBGMC's intake. Candy Black is a totally different color.

Are you running stock rockers on it or rollers? The reason I ask is becuase I'm building a 396 for my truck and I'm running roller rockers and want to run stock crome valve covers.

Rust-Oleum, I like the color but didn't like the new nozels they use. We'll see how it holds up.

Rollers, Ultra Pro Magnums. The valve covers are reproduction that are a little taller (1/2") than the stock ones to allow room for the roller rockers.

Coater, is powder coating supposed to handle gas better than paint? I dynoed my motor Thursday and in the process of changing jets etc some gas spilled on the intake. It was wiped off quickly but still jacked up the finish on the coating. Is this typical? I was expecting this to be somewhat durable but I guess not.
