Im right there with y'all! Want to see more. I'd love for you to find a clean 50th bed and keep the patina.

Re: Project "5th try"
That bed is clean! I'd be trying something. If you could do your cuts as close to the front and back and keep it cool while your welding so the body work would be minimal.... I don't think it would look that bad. The floor would be the easiest part. I'd be trying It.....

As for progress... I'm in the process of tearing apart the front suspension and getting everything powder coated/painted and back togeather. Going to try and knock out the low cost stuff over the winter as cash is a little short at the moment. Once I get the front all painted I think I'll try and get the brake lines fabbed up. Traded for a CPP master/booster combo over the weekend.

Re: Project "5th try"
Got the front suspension tore apart and bolted on the booster. Now I've got to hunt down or buy a press so I can take the cross shafts out of the control arms for powder coat. I've also got a small spot that I need to get repaired b4 I can paint the frame rails.

Re: Project "5th try"
I'm going to order the conversion axles from Moser. They run about $250. A little cheaper then Early classice. I tried to get Alloy USA to make me some, but they just refered me to Moser. I could of swor that the axles I bought used for the last truck were Alloy, but I guess they weren't.

Re: Project "5th try"
Yeah.
Got the frame prepped and painted. That picture looks horrible. Paint laid down smooth and one shade. Dam phone camera.

Re: Project "5th try"
Bought a press over the weekend and got the bushings out of the control arms. Dropped up the upper arms and all the cross shafts for powder coat yesterday. I hope to get the front suspension back togeather b4 the new year, but I've got alot of other stuff going on.
