Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
Hi Steve. No. In my country it is not legal to change that. so I have decided me for a straight axle with 3 inches drop

Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
This is looking great! Where did you get the fender supports? Were they listed as 58-59 ? That is all I can find them listed as. Can't wait to see more.

Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
Thanks for the reply and the photos! My fender braces are about like yours, and I have looked and looked and I can only find that part listed for 58-59. I assumed they would work, but I was never sure. Thanks again, looking GREAT!

Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
It looks like you're doing really, really nice work. Not to be a naysayer, but are those copper brake lines? I'm no expert but I THINK those are a definite no-no. I'm sure someone will chime in with a more expert opinion. Can't wait to see more photos.

Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
Dan he is in Europe and they use a copper nickle alloy for brake lines on some of their cars its not your standard copper that is a no no for sure. But if he is using what I think he is its fine.

Almost all cars have changed their brake lines when they are 6 to 8 years old here. We use salt on the roads. on vitres. which is very hard on the cars. And is there the smallest amount of rust on the brake lines the car can not be approved to drive on the roads. All cars must be approved every 2 years. but not cars over 35 years. its every 8 years So everyone uses these copper tubes. I do not know the exact alloy

The beauty of copper tubes is that it is very easy to bend. and if you make a wrong bend. you can easily straighten it out again. and start over. Regards to the wrong bends I speak from experience

Re: 57 Truck with a Danish touch
looks like good work, do you have to pass government inspection in denmark, like you do in britain? looks like with your work you would have no problem passing. again keep it up.

Wow, your truck is coming along great! I really like your arched top door to your garage. You just don't see many of those in Canada.

Thank you for your positive feedback. my house was built in 1934, so when I should build my garage, it should be in the same style. I would think that 90 to 95% of all houses in Denmark are built in bricks
