Mike,... I have a crossmember section on one of my parts trucks (upper shock mounts have been removed),... if you can't find one closer.
I could just sawzall off the frame section.
I can look at it tomorrow,... but I think shipping might kill the deal.

I also have a pair of "rubber bushed" 73-87 lower a-arms,... but shipping would definitely be crazy.

Thanks Keith! take a look at what you have. It might not be too bad to ship snail mail or ups? I know I have some of the cross members out there in my stash, just don't want to cut up a complete frame. I know I don't have any control arms. I only need one, how hard is it to remove the mounting shaft? I bet that there is a bunch of weight in that part.

The a-arms cross shafts are different.
The cross shafts are specific to either 67-72 or 73-87.

I'll try to take a few pics of the crossmember tomorrow.

I am taking this bent one to work tomorrow, maybe I can heat it up and straighten it? Thanks for looking for me.

Clyde,
I really only need the passenger side lower. Will you seperate it? how much? Shipping will probably kill the deal for the set.

Do you need a set of stock upper shock mounts?
(I might still have a set)
Or are you going to use a set of rear shock relocators?

You tell me, I was thinking of making it about 4-5 in. lower in the rear and 3 in the front with spindles and shocks. Not really sure what it takes to make a static drop in the rear. I don't want to c-notch or anything drastic. I still want to use it for pickup duties. If I can leave the shocks where they were from the factory then I will need those too.

Also, I just found out through some research that it looks like the rh control arm I'm looking for is the same on the square bodies. So I should be able to pick one up at pull a part pretty cheap.

I would use the rear shock relocators with anything more than a 3" drop.
ECE, POL, CPP all sell them.
You can run up to a 6" rear drop coil without a c-notch.
Nate (72BlckButy) has a 6" rear drop with no c-notch,... and it's fine.

With that much rear drop you'll definitely want to run rear shock relocators.

As far as the lower A-arm, I'm not sure, Keith is the right guy to be asking. Wish I could help you out more.

Yes,... the 73-87 (squarebody) a-arms will bolt right on.
The lower ball joint will have to match the year spindle you are using.

Keith,
Thanks for the info on Nate's truck, I really like the height on it too.

Still haven't had time to remove the old cross member yet. I really think I need to find it local because of the weight.

I just bought the same crossmember for my son's 69 project. The weight on the box was 24 lbs. and shipping from Florence S.C. to right out side of Atlanta Ga. was $25.00. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Greg65. I was able to pull the cross member today and weigh it. It weighs right at 15lbs with the frame piece it will be closer to 25lb. Keith, can you see how much it would cost to ship it from your place to 74851 OK? Thanks.

My zip code is 65251.
I use UPS.
It might be a few days before I can get to it.
It's 4* here and it's covered in snow.
You will need to add the length (and weight) of the two frame rail sections also.

Your right he does, I was hoping to get yours for $20 + shipping though.
I already paid $20 for the upper shock mounts so I don't need them now.
Thanks for looking out for me. I have a few of them but really don't want to seperate them from the frames. I was hoping to find one already out and ready to go if you know what I mean. If I have to, I will break down and pay up, but I'm as tight as they come right now with Christmas bills rolling in......13 and 16 year old OUCH.
