Well, my latest update isn't that impressive but it though it was cool. I got an extra key made at the local hardware store when i got home and tried it it didn't work. But we have an old key machine in the basement with a little practice on some house keys i put in an old gm and blank and made a copy that did work. Im 15 and this was the first time i had ever tried to make a key and i did better than the guy in his 20's at the hardware store, im quite proud of myself

Re: Everybody has to start somewhere project: Square forceone

Owned the truck for about 3 years now done dones a little thing that never made it on here. New brakes tune up.. new tires painted the rims changed the gear oil took all the heater duct work out had the dash off a few times. All sorts of the things. Never really did major work because i was a high school kid with no job and couldn't put money into it. Then i graduated and started working and had a girlfriend who wanted to hangout all the time. I have all the patch panels now and haven't had time to work on it. So stay patient and i'll update as things get done.

Had a good day pulled the cowl and drives fender, put rust proof primer on the floorboards and clamped up a patch panel to see how'd it'd fit.

Good looking truck!! I like the hubcaps pretty sweet!

Did you run the numbers to make sure it was a 305? I almost sold what I thought was a 305 and was a 350 but can't argue with a built 350 that's for sure.

$700 for the truck is a great deal, got you a solid truck that needs a little fixing no issues with it, sounds good to me!

Re: Everybody has to start somewhere project: Square forceone

It's a 305 a high mile oil burning boat anchor haha it was a good motor though couldn't kill the thing. It was pretty much always low on oil, it burned so much of it and i didn't really care if the motor went out. One time i drove over 100 miles stopped for gas and remembered to check the oil and it was several qt's low. Bought some oil and drove another 50 miles up to pick up a motor for a buddy and drove the 150 home. Lol it was always low on oil and i never heard the damn thing knock or tick or anything. Kind of sad to see it go.

Nice man!! Yeah I had a buddy that used to work for a dealership and when the whole cash for clunkers thing came about, he said they had to put some special "liquid" in the motors that was to "kill" the motors and he said that the Chevy 350's and Chevy motors just wouldn't stop he said they just wouldn't quit. That's why I love old school Chevy now.
