We're thinking lower, not slammed, 1 ton DRW with a straight axle front, 2wd, a cummins with auto, and primer for now.

37 dodge pick ups... the way I would build it. I would do it like it was done late 50s to mid 60s. The last is a little do rat roddish for me.... I like em more trad. These all have 1/2 ton fronts but.... you get the idea.

It's going to. I kind of am building this to show up a family member who likes talking smack when we aren't around.

Who needs an old hauler any how?

I have plenty of time to build one later on.

Well, my brothers and I purchased this truck for my Dad for his birthday. We got it home and already purchased a LH door for it. We went to a swap meet last weekend to find a fender with no luck. So we'll have to purchase the one on ebay now. The plans for this truck are the following: Install 1 ton independent front suspension from a 76 2wd C30. Install a 12v cummins and a Dodge A518 transmission. Use a D70HD 10 lug disc brake rear axle, with 19.5 tires. We'll buy direct bolt 19.5's for the front and be good to go. I'm working on getting him some 7" chrome stacks. We were going to leave it with no bed and cover the frame with diamond plate and hang a fuel tank and the battery box on the frame behind the cab on each side. Well, now that has changed. We are thinking of building a bed to put on the back like a wedge back for hauling whatever we want. we'll see.
