I got a strobe box for my plowing so I dont have to add one of those gay top lights. Its a Sho-Me unit for LEDs only.

This is the ONLY way to get brighter than incandescent lighting in LEDs. Those base bulbs are WORTHLESS. Ive tried em all. A standard 1157/56 bulb is 403 lumens. You will NEVER find an LED base bulb with even half of that but yet all companies will lead you to believe it will be even brighter. Not true. Its BS they charge you so much for nothing.

Heres FINAL pics. I kept my old housings just for a test run on these. I need new ones to make it clearer. Im doing side markers now.

These are parking lights only. Turns are brighter.

Please do a write up, you've got me really wanting to do this, but the whole resistor/LED thing has always stopped me from making my own LED's like this.

does the intensity var between parking light setting and blinking?

Yes the parking light and turn signal vary in resistance thus making the turn brighter.

I am not sure what I am going to do really. I am currently in talks with admins here about possibly becoming a vendor for these if there is interest. I will not be selling ANYTHING until that happens. I would post a do it yourself but have done so on other sites for various things and people soon realize its more complicated than it seems. Its not very cut and dry and unless you have done electronics and LEDs in the past and know the routine chances are you will create more mess than what its worth. For instance if you get ONE single wire wrong in the array and you hook it up....guess what? The WHOLE circuit is dead now as all the LEDs are toast. There goes $80 in bulbs out the window.

It really sucks cause I sure as hell dont want to piss anyone off by not posting a DIY but at same time this is something I really enjoy and people know me (on other forums.... Duramax forums) from doing this and have always said to sell them. I guess thats just the nice nature in me wanting to always help someone but I may just make it easier on everyone and do it for you. I will wait and see what Josh says here before I go on record. And sorry but NO I will not sell anything as of now.

Does this make any sense? Please tell me it does

<= Avionics technician... hehehe.. ive done similar to motorcycle assemblies, mainly taillights, and YES it's a complete PITA sometimes. BUT i wanted to see how you do it.
and i would give you my word i wouldnt steal your mojo =-), i have tailights to do on a 78 280z etc to play with and a few tail lenses for other motorcycles in the garage.

It's always good to see how someone else does it.
