They are pretty hard to find now days. My fourth truck was a 1965 Chevy swb stepper with a L6 and 3 on the tree, I have been GM every since. I think that was back in 1973. Unfortunately the '65 got totaled in 1976.

I see two Cheyenne Superman beauties
Can I change my answer? My standard answer:"I like 'em all!" Why limit yourself?

Re: What is your favorite year truck???
I like my 68 but its hard to pick a truck I like most. Really like the 55-57 Chevy Early 50s are cool too but my Grandpa had an Apache which I thought was ugly when I was younger but really wish I had it now. My Dad and Grandpa had a lot of Fords so I like those too but the one that holds a special place was my Dad's 78 Dodge Adventurer I grew up in that truck and learned to drive in that truck. So Its hard to pick one but I have always leaned towards Chevys

Re: What is your favorite year truck???
I am going to have to change my vote. I originally thought we talking 67-72. I love 72's like crazy but my all time favorite truck with out a doubt is a 1957 Cameo.

Re: What is your favorite year truck???
I am partial to the '68. I like the sloped front and the style of the grill. I also like it with the marker lights and big back window. But then it might just be I like it because that is the year I was born. I prefer the fleetside, short or long. The first pic is my truck. The second is a drawing of my plans for it. The rest are pics I found. The Subs are cool too.

Re: What is your favorite year truck???
I have a 68 lwb
If i had the choice i would get a 67 swb k10 step side with a 292/3 on the tree/205 combo and 4.10 gears in the d44/12bolt with 4" ruff country lift and 33" bfg mud terrians on 80's 8" wide ralley wheels. The color does not really matter but i would put in an aluminium diamond plate floor in the bed. No need for a radio or ac. Last edited by Ronnny; 01-01-2011 at 04:52 PM. Reason: add on |

Re: What is your favorite year truck???
I like the '69-'72 hoods a little better, but I'd like to have a '67 or '68 also. And I like the dual headlights of the GMC's. If I was richer, I'd have a '58 GMC, a '60 or '61 GMC, and a '37-'41 coupe (dreamin'!)
