Yea. Just like with most Body Shops, they told me "2 Weeks", but it'llbe 5 by the time I drive it away.
Here's a short Video I took of the shop and posted it on You Tube today.
It's actually called...."The Shop".

Re: Finally!!!

Interior Paint tomorrow, with a Green Pearl on top followed by 3 layers of Clearcoat!
Here's the re-upholstered stuff. I had everything done to match the Seats I bought.
Not much that you can see in the Detail (with these pictures) but just imagine that everything (except the steering wheel & Door Panels), was covered in 38 years 0f Ripped/Dirty/Torn/Disgusting Black GM Vinyl!

Re: Finally!!!

You're getting closer! The body shop guys have it rough. They have to repair all the great things they find when they sand the old material. Been there, doing that!

Re: Finally!!!

Well unfortunately it was so windy in the Palm Desert area, that my Painters came in and waited an hour and determined there was too much Sand/Dust in the air today to paint.
Wind gusts in excess of 55 MPH, with Road Closure's due to Dust Storms and Power Outages.
They're going to try and come in early tomorrow morning and paint before the Wind kicks up again.
Most of Southern California, is under a High Wind Watch through Sunday.

Yes the passenger Rocker had Rust holes (on the upright portion).
It would have cost me extra $$ to have it repaired.
That would have put EVERYTHING on hold.
I had them sand it and use some POR 15 in it.
The Sill/Carpet plate will go over it.
After 2 years of waiting, I had to prioritize.
It was already in the shop and stripped, when they found it.
My budget was that tight, so I told them to just "stop it in it's tracks".
I knoiw that others here would not have done it the way I did,
but that's what makes the world go round.
I am a happy camper!

Re: Finally!!!

IMHO, money or no money, stop the rust on the rocker but leave it be. You won't see it and the rocker remains oem and unmolested. Good call.
Great to be you right now! Have fun.
When the light hits the paint edges and the metallic comes out...( I'm too old to say this ) Sick, sick sick.

Re: Finally!!!

Thought I'd post some Before/After Pictures of some of my Interior pieces that were re-upholstered.
They're currently Wet Sanding, and final Clear Coat goes on Mon or Tue, then reassembly!
